From wool to wine
Mt Rosa Vineyard was originally the ram paddock for the 80,000 hectare Kawarau Station. In 2000 the sheep were sent off to greener pastures, vines were planted and a new story in wine began.
Some 25 years later, Mt Rosa is a well-established vineyard in Gibbston producing exceptional single vineyard wines. It is still, very proudly, family owned and operated with that same pioneering spirit that took the chance on vines instead of sheep all those years ago.
We're pretty proud of our little patch and the wines we produce. We'd love to share them with you and your friends and favourites. Come and visit us in Gibbston at our Cellar Door and experience the hospitality we're known for.

Fabulous spot!!! ❤️ The staff are definitely the Friendliest in the Region - nothing is ever a problem. The Valley platter sensational 👏 🧀 🐟 🍇 & the Wine 🍷 WoW!! Rose is my fav 😍 but something for all tastes 😋. Guy & his Team are fantastic!!
